Sustainability

Since the company has been formed,

CDC has focussed on sustainability

as a part of its operating  charter.

To this extent it complies with all green legislation, AS/NZS ISO
14001:2004 – Environmental Management Systems and targets
to reduce its water consumption and carbon footprint. It also
provides green reporting for its clients.

Water

CDC uses a closed water-cooling system. This enables CDC to significantly reduce the amount of water that is required by the data centre on an ongoing basis. This is reduced by a minimum of 50,000 litres of clean drinking water per day through clean, air-cooled, ultra high efficient ‘chiller’ technology.

Company Green Ethos

To establish and maintain environmental targets with the aim of reducing negative environmental impacts and achieving continual improvement.

To have a positive environmental impact by embracing the use of sustainable resources and improved waste and energy reduction measures.

To ensure that environmental management principles are included in all planning activities.

To monitor, inspect, measure and report the effectiveness of our environmental program and objectives.

Green

CDC works daily to meet our environmental obligations. This is in accordance with Environmental Acts and Legislation, relevant legal requirements (including Local Government and contractual requirements) and other requirements placed upon the organisation, or to which the organisation subscribes. CDC complies with the international standard AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental Management Systems - Requirements with guidance for use.
